What Guests Are Saying
Minooka Park offers beautiful scenery and well-maintained, spacious campsites, making it a great camping destination. Guests appreciate the clean facilities, friendly staff, and recreational opportunities available, particularly the stunning views of the lake. However, some campers noted the need for more water hookup sites and improvements to certain amenities, such as leveling issues on some pads and increased accessibility to water.

We love camping at Minooka park but it would be nice if they could get the other boat ramps in working condition. One ramp does not work on the weekends. Also why would you put a dock ramp in the middle of the 2 boat ramps instead of lowering the one on the side. It just backs everything up when loading and unloading boats. It is a really nice camp site.

It appears nothing is being done to reduce the bugs. I was surprised at the hoards of bugs that came after dark

Very clean well maintained campground. We stayed in A10. The sites were large and very well spaced out with plenty of space between sites. Our section didn’t have showers but the bathrooms were clean.
They have several dump stations including ones right as you exit.

Love camping at Wilson Lake! Enjoyed our 4 days we could reserve.....WE LOVE OUR LAKE AND OUR TIME OUT THERE!!! Camp Hosts are fantabulous and cool as heck! They have fun activities throughout the summer! So if you can get a spot enjoy it and have some fun in the sun!

Facilities are old and run down. More access to the water would be nice so you don't have share a beach with a bunch of loud drunks.

This is a beautiful lake with nice campgrounds. Very little shade but sites are fairly level, many with lake views. We preferred the E loop bluff lake side sites but selected one that turned out to be like a buddy site with a huge camper parked right in front of our camper. Site 32 I think was the site number. We got it as it was a 50 amp and most others were only 30 amp. The second time we stayed in F loop site 17. Not as scenic at all but ok and a 50 amp hook up with water. Some have water some don’t. Very strange. They have several walk up sites in A loop but couldn’t figure out how to get those. They weren’t walk in like tents and such they were regular RV sites.

Great weekend camping and hiking. Mosquitos and bugs were pretty bad though after sunset

Nice campground. Not a lot of water access from camping spots.
