Great weekend camping and hiking. Mosquitos and bugs were pretty bad though after sunset

Minooka Park offers beautiful scenery and well-maintained, spacious campsites, making it a great camping destination. Guests appreciate the clean facilities, friendly staff, and recreational opportunities available, particularly the stunning views of the lake. However, some campers noted the need for more water hookup sites and improvements to certain amenities, such as leveling issues on some pads and increased accessibility to water.

Nice campground. Not a lot of water access from camping spots.

Beautiful lake. We did a stopover before traveling on back to Oklahoma. Easy to find with spacious campsites. Our spot was A08 which was right by the water. Easy pull through. Water and electricity. My only complaint was the pad being unlevel. It sloped towards the water. I was able to get it level by pulling up on my blocks but really? Someone needs to do some work on it.

Working the Lovegrass festival it was nice to get away in the late evenings to Minooka. I loved the drive to the state park every day. Beautiful short drive.

We parked at C1 at Minooka Park. The electrical would not give us any electricity without popping the breaker. We tried turning off different breakers in our motorhome, but nothing worked. We ended up running on generator all night and moved the next morning.

Seems most site are not level. Our 5th- wheels were off the ground 4-5”. Bathrooms were mediocre.

We stayed in A10 and it was very nice. The only thing was the access to the lake was not as good as we would of liked.
