Very interesting and unique experience in the middle of the Wind Belt of Kansas! Definitely recommend this as a stop if you're travelling nearby, or as a destination to learn a lot about military/missile history. Matthew was a great tour guide and full of information! He gives great vibes and his passion for this journey is contagious. He has some great plans and ideas for the future and we are looking forward to following his journey.

An interesting and exciting tour of a former cold war missile silo complex. Owner Matthew is gradually converting the site to an RV, camping, in-the-silo hotel-like experience. Beautiful and peaceful site to enjoy. Learn a bit of the history of the history cold war missile race. Also, the art of the restoration and expansion.

It was a very enjoyable experience and well worth the time to visit and enjoy. Matthew is an excellent story teller.

What a one-of-a-kind experience!

Staying in this beautifully renovated historical missile silo was an absolute treat. It was fascinating to glimpse this piece of Cold War history transformed into something so welcoming, fun, and educational. We’re already excited to return in the future to see how it continues to grow into something even more special.
Matthew and Doser were fantastic hosts, responsive, helpful, and genuinely passionate about the property. We had a blast watching the show Silo while playing pool and air hockey right next to the ominous dark tunnel leading into the actual missile silo. The tour was incredibly informative and memorable, especially seeing the dramatic 80-foot drop down to the deeper water levels. I even took advantage of the amazing acoustics for an impromptu singing session, it sounded incredible!
This stay combined history, adventure, and comfort in the most unique way. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for something truly unforgettable.

Thanks again, Matthew and Doser, we can’t wait to visit again!

No need to repeat what other 5-star reviews have said. Beautiful airbnb, don’t hesitate! Tidy place to camp. Cheerful, informative, visionary host. The core principle of sustainability is the real gem here. Matt has implemented, and has plans for more, sustainability practices. This is a model for the future. Go here if you want to see that vision put to practice, teach others, participate through funding or engage with Matt. Even if you are just passing through, make time (make a reservation, please) to stop here, with your kids, too (they’ll love it), to see this fantastic installation.

We took the one hour tour and it was absolutely fantastic! Our guide was SO knowledgeable about the Cold War history of the silo as well as having the ability to explain numerous possibilities for repurposing it for use today. We did not stay there overnight so I can't speak to the accommodations but from what we saw on the tour I really wish we had done so. They looked great! The site was very convenient to the Wilson area where we did stay. Easy to access. Well worth the side trip. If you are in the area and have any interest in the history of that time period at all please don't miss it.
