Trace Branch Campground offers a friendly and accommodating atmosphere with clean, well-maintained facilities and beautiful surroundings, ideal for kayaking and fishing. The hosts, a mother-daughter team, are praised for their helpfulness, and the campground features a new playground and a boat launch. Thus place was a great place to stay, especially if you like kayking and fishing. Make sure you don't follow google maps, it will lead you down a 1 lane road and we had to back our trailer up for nearly 1/2 mile. But the campground was definitely worth the trip.

The campground was great. The two host mother and daughter were both very sweet and friendly. They were the best ever. The people in the community also were helpful in that they not just gave direction but lead me miles down the road to my destinations. Restrooms and showers were clean and stocked with supplies. There was a brand new playground my grand daughter loved. All the camp sites were clean as well as the entire campground. The campground is on a large lake with a boat launch at the campground. The campground is the prettiest and most peaceful I have ever stayed at. The only negative is that the road coming into the campground is narrow. Locals seemed fine with it though. Bring a map as there is no internet for Map Quest. We enjoyed no internet at the campground as we played Old Maids in the evening with our 8 year old granddaughter. What fun.

Sites are WAY too small, and the one I was at was way out of level. No cell service.
