What Guests Are Saying
Smith Ridge Campground offers a clean and peaceful environment, with friendly volunteer staff and well-maintained facilities. Campers appreciate the spacious sites and the beautiful natural setting, ideal for family gatherings and relaxation. However, some guests noted issues with cellular service, bathroom supplies, and the campground's limited open season, particularly wishing it would remain open into October.

We loved the seclusion of our spot on 29A however it was challenging get free ingredients our camper in that spot particularly, right in the middle of the turn and I had culverts on both sides making it hard to turn the camper and truck in the direction I needed. Showers were warm an clean. And all of the folks in other campsites were friendly and quiet all weekend. We do not recommend this campsite if you have a camper and a tent because it is very confined but overall we loved our stay and it was very beautiful and peaceful. When you go there be sure to bring at least a 50 ft hose for Water Hookup in your camper

Smith ridge is a very nice Army Corp of Engineering campground. The camp spots are spacious with many having water and electric. The facilities were clean. Many of the campers there were locals and because of it being summer time there was many children playing and riding their bikes. Definitely a family campground. I will come back to for sure. But for me it will be during the fall.

Great place to stay, stayed from 6/8 the 6/12. Park attendant very friendly, campground clean, bathrooms clean.lots of kids, lots were great in B section. A section tight for larger RV. Campground is not on the water. Easy to find, close to town. campground host was great also, always talking to kids.
