Smith Ridge campground has sites that are spread out. We stayed in Loop B. Shower house/restrooms was very clean. Hot water, which is a good thing. The attendants take pride in keeping up this campground. Thank you!!

Loved it at Smith Ridge the new attendants are great. One thing that could improve is cell phone service because there is no service. The restroom and shower are great very clean.

The bad news first.
The water there tastes awful. We had to go to Walmart right after we got t here to buy water. It even stinks showering. We could not get into the site I reserved #21. They have paved the roads so much, if you have a longer camper(ours was 21 feet), your truck wheels go off the road trying to back in, down into a deep ditch. A pop up will work fine. We had to get another site & it was very nice. The roads are so curved, a large RV will have a lot of trouble parking at most sites.
The good news.
We went before school was out. We shared our area with only a few older adults camping. There were no dogs yapping. Very quiet. We had a beautiful view from our site of the woods. Walmart & Campbellsville was very close, so it's easy to pick up supplies or go out to eat. The hosts & check in attendants ( 2 different couples) were friendly & helpful our entire trip.
After we got settled & had good tasting water, we had a wonderful time. You can fish several places from the shore or dock or just bring a chair & watch the activity at the lake. I'm very glad we went. I'm sure summer is very different as there is a beach where lots of families go. Boating is a big activity, also.

We really enjoyed our stay. The campground was very nice and had some great sites on it! I couldn’t give all five stars because you can tell there needs to be some upgrades for it to be a huge success. I can deal with no signal to a degree, always afraid of an emergency, but some of the “best” sites need upgrades: water and electric hookup. We walked the campground scoping out, and noticed no hookups at all on most.

Loved the camp ground, only thing that was hard was the dump station cause you have to go all the way around and come back onto it to dump, it's pretty hard when you have a long camper, then have to go back out and make that sharp turn around the trees , but other than that we loved it and we will be back, I've recommended the camp ground to several people, and the workers were especially nice and helpful.
