What Guests Are Saying
Smith Ridge Campground offers a clean and peaceful environment, with friendly volunteer staff and well-maintained facilities. Campers appreciate the spacious sites and the beautiful natural setting, ideal for family gatherings and relaxation. However, some guests noted issues with cellular service, bathroom supplies, and the campground's limited open season, particularly wishing it would remain open into October.

One of the best campgrounds we’ve been too. Our site was well shaded and perfect size. The nearby beach and marina were great! Will definitely make the return trip!

Campground is clean along with the restrooms. But if you plan on making or receiving any phone calls rather for pleasure or emergencies good luck. It doesn’t matter what service providers you have it’s pretty much impossible to do. The campground also offers NO WiFi.

Won’t return.
We used to love this campground, but the new attendant has ruined it for us. She has been nothing less than rude every time we have been in the last 2 seasons.

On behalf of all the campers from Smith Ridge ,which I have been camping there for over 25 years with my kids and now with my grandkids would like to thank you for the upgrades on section B with the new water and electric on those sites that have been messed up for years.I have always thought that Smith Ridge is one of the best camping locations. Thanks

Love the addition of water hookups. A little disappointed that cleanup of road and a few other things had not been done! Would also love to be able to stay longer and keep the sites in B open longer. Really enjoy the peaceful camping there! Thank you!

There were not trash cans at each site, 10pm quiet hours were not observed, the grounds were clearly over crowded, There was a very long line to enter the park.
the beach 1 mile away was dirty, the grounds clearly were not policed often. The area to swim was not maintained and the netting was pulling to one side. Which makes you question the quality of the net itself.
The town near-by was very nice and had some fast food, place to buy groceries. stay away from pizza wings and things, the food is not good, BUT the people working there are extremely nice and friendly.

The sites are vary clean and spacious. However, parking at your site is an issue. The sites are only wide enough for one vehicle. If you have a travel trailer, boat, and 2 vehicles, good luck. The campsites all have gravel pull offs on each side at the end by the road, but you will find out quickly that they don’t allow you to park there. It’s nice that it is shaded but on the flip side of that everything was covered in tree sap.

Our campsite was awesome, with a great view. The campgrounds were full, but everyone was polite and courteous. The Park Rangers were very helpful and friendly. We will use this campgrounds again next year. Restrooms were clean and the showers had nice hot water.
