What Guests Are Saying
Smith Ridge Campground offers a clean and peaceful environment, with friendly volunteer staff and well-maintained facilities. Campers appreciate the spacious sites and the beautiful natural setting, ideal for family gatherings and relaxation. I enjoyed it being remote. I would like to see them lessen the lighting around the bathrooms. They light up the campground for 5-7 spots, remind me of search lights or non-moving light house lights. Kills the star gazing!!!

Park was clean and well maintained. Bath house was very clean and well lit. Park personnel were very friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back! Beautiful area with lots of wildlife and great places to swim and fish. Also very close to Campbellsville if you need/forgot anything.

green river has always been my favorite lake but this was my 1st time at Smith Ridge. the man and woman running the camp ground were so nice and i loved how the spots in loop A are shaded ! had 1 problem when the power hook up shorted out but the gentleman in charge was very nice and let us borrow his converter so we could still have power on the last night. we were in site 30A only thing i didn't like about it was that the electric hook up was at the front of the site instead of the back like lots of the others are so we had to park are camper closer to the road leaving no were to park our truck other than that everything was perfect !
well defiantly be back

Fairly nice but older campground and sites are close together. Our electric hookup was not reliable and we would lose power. The dump station was also full when we went to pull out. Not sure we would go back. Love Green River area and the lake though.

We have been coming to Smith Ridge for 3+ years now. We love the campground - the bathrooms/showers are well maintained regularly, the sites are always clean. Plenty of room for our kids to run and play.
This year, however, we’ve stayed a few times and the park attendant has been rude and just not friendly at all.

We pulled multiple ticks off of our children. There was poison ivy everywhere surrounding our campsite itself. I feel like it could have been better maintained in the actual camping sites. We have suffered a week after visiting from severe posion ivy. And we are regular campers.
We have a 34 foot camper and it was super tight to get in and out of the dump station. Not good for inexperienced campers for your first time at all.
We also couldn't open our canopy because of a small tree right against the site.
We won't be returning to this campground.

Campground was not busy at all near the end of the season. Restrooms and showers were in good shape. The boat ramps were not too far away. We enjoyed watching many deer walk through the campground. Hope to find our way back in September 2020.
