What Guests Are Saying
Smith Ridge Campground offers a clean and peaceful environment, with friendly volunteer staff and well-maintained facilities. Campers appreciate the spacious sites and the beautiful natural setting, ideal for family gatherings and relaxation. However, some guests noted issues with cellular service, bathroom supplies, and the campground's limited open season, particularly wishing it would remain open into October.

The flood lights around the restrooms are very bright and could keep campers awake.
Line voltage frequently drops to 103 and water pressure is very high.
Ranger is very nice and seen frequently while camp attendents stay at gate.

Although you are in the woods, the ticks are BAD! Rotten railroad ties (lining the site) and spikes sticking up from those (watch your tires and feet)!

Smith ridge is our favorite place to camp . We love the spacing and shade . Decently level spots. Close to the marina of emerald isle with a beach ( driving distance like 5 mins )
Bath houses have good hot water . Lance and Lisa are great camp host always willing to help! Always love going back !!

Very quiet!. Nice little playground for the kids! It would be nice to have some kind of cell service or some TV channels.

Campground is close to lots of amenities. Quiet and comfortable. If tent camping know that there is only 1 bathhouse so choose site wisely. Beautiful area of Kentucky. Go visit!

We were intent on staying 2 nights but left after 1. Granted it was July 3rd and our 3 sets of neighbors were loud people in general, but were loud and inconsiderate well past 10p. My family and I got very little sleep.
