Storm knocked out power first night. Trees down and campground roads blocked. Heat wave and humidity unbearable for us having lung disease. Had to pack up and leave when roads cleared because host said would be some time before electric restored. Lost another 2 nights of reservations. Time and expense wasted.

Great campground with electric/water sites on a beautiful lake with water access. Level sites, plenty of room between sites and clean bath facilities. Good Verizon and Tmobile service too. Will definitely come back!

We spent our time relaxing because my boat was in the shop. Fishing was ok, make sure you bring plenty of wood. It’s hard to beat a good fire.

Lot was not level. They need to put in a place to purchase ice and also spray for tics. The tics were terrible

Stay straight at the intersection of Hwy 259 and Hwy 226; follow Hwy 226 for about 2 mi. Turn right on Hwy 88 and follow it for approximately 7 mi. The Wax campground will be on your right. Total driving distance from Bowling Green is about 51 mi; driving time is around 1 hour, 20 minutes.

Take I-65 south for approximately 59 mi to exit 76. Follow Hwy 224 for approximately 10 mi before turning left on Hwy 479. In approximately 8 mi turn left on Highway 88.
