What Guests Are Saying

Pikes Ridge is highly praised as a clean, well-maintained campground with beautiful views and friendly hosts, making it a favorite for many families over the years. Guests appreciate the spacious shower facilities, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent access to water activities like kayaking and fishing. Some minor concerns include the narrow access road and occasional noise from generators, but these do not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.

Beautiful campground with with great views of the lake and nice beach! Our favorite place to camp on Green River. The staff is very friendly and bath house is nice new addition. Wish there were more electric sites as it is very hard to get a reservation. Dump station was full on 4th of July weekend and unable to dump trailer....hopefully a 1 time issue! Never had this issue in the past. Otherwise....great place to camp!!

Excellent facility. Two year-old bathhouse epoxy coated flowers for separate rooms easy access to the lake for swimming fishing and boating. One Cove is reserved exclusively for swimming with no fishing or danger of hooks or boats. Another cove is open for fishing and boating. Beautiful sunsets. Extremely friendly. Maintenance ensures spotless grounds. It’s come along way since it opened sometime in the early 70s. 20 sites have electric and 40 are primitive.

Some changes have made it to where campers are not happy with the boat parking. Places have been broken for a couple years now and have not been repaired, the Park Ranger says they have no funds. Why is the government taking the money we pay to camp and not letting the parks have it as the Ranger said they are moving the funds to other places and not the upkeep of the Parks. For years we were allowed to park our boats on shore because of the rocks out front damaging our boats so we moved to the side. They no longer permit this and want us to park our boats on the rocks anyway and I was told by the Ranger if I did not like it leave my boat at home. Now campers are getting mad at campers for the few spots we can park without damaging the boat. You move your boat someone will get that spot. Being a senior citizen and disabled I cannot walk very far. Seems they are doing this on purpose and it's just a matter of time before camper rage instead of road rage happens.
