What Guests Are Saying
Pikes Ridge is highly praised as a clean, well-maintained campground with beautiful views and friendly hosts, making it a favorite for many families over the years. Guests appreciate the spacious shower facilities, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent access to water activities like kayaking and fishing. Some minor concerns include the narrow access road and occasional noise from generators, but these do not significantly detract from the overall positive experience.

This was the cleanest camp ground I have ever stayed at, the grass was just a little tall, but overall we had a very good experience there. The only issue I had was trying to reserve the spot, they are booked out 6 months in advance.

Very quiet and a very clean lake. We stay around Lake Cumberland mostly, but we like to stay at Pikes Ridge as well. It is a very clean campground.
Pros: Quiet, clean and no in and out traffic. The little swimming area is very nice, because it is for campers only. Boat ramp is for campers only.
Cons: very little cell reception. Both Verizon and AT&T have little coverage here. No running water restrooms and no shower houses. Several of the sites are unlevel, which is off given this entire campground is level. If the corp would spend a little money and convert the remaining sites to electric and water, this would be better place. Add some bath houses, non port-a-potty style regular bathrooms would be nice. But all in all, we will always stay here a time or two a year.
Also, we never seen any type of law enforcement while there. Maybe that’s because this isn’t a place that requires constant surveillance from the law. Just an observation.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the waterside campsites. Made it so handy for our boat. I do believe a couple more dock areas for boats to tie up would help tremendoulsy or assign spots for people with boats when they make their camping reservations. We had to fight for spots with our neighbors to have a spot for our boat. One couple pulled their boat with their RV so they couldn't just take their boat in/out. My other suggestion would be to add a showerhouse. With no sewer hookups, most campground provide showerhouses. We usually have a lot of kids with us in/out so having a showerhouse for them to go to to clean up would be so nice. I understand that campground tends to flood at times but having one up on the hillside would work as well. I also would like to see more campsites that offer electric and water hookups. Trying to get on and book a site right at the time it's available is difficult and if you have to reschedule it, there's no dates available to reschedule since with the short booking window. And booking on your website is not user friendly. It's very confusing. The campsites are gorgeous, mostly level and mostly shaded. We do like the wide space between the sites also. :)

The site was fine. It was plenty long & level enough for our 42' fifth wheel but we were unable to open our awnings due to the proximity of the trees. The trees allowed for natural shade so it didn't bother us too much. Electric and water worked fine. Very nice and quiet park but many visitors with off-leash pets which always puts a damper on the experience when a random dog runs barking at your leashed and well-behaved pets. Will return to Pikes Ridge again soon. Perfect campground for those with a boat. Easy ramp access and plenty of places to tie off & leave your boat in the water.

Beautiful sites and park. Road into park is 6 miles long and very narrow at certain points. Site 17 is the best in the park with the best view
