This site was at the end of the row making it quiet with nice privacy. Not the best fishing site because of the steep bank and trees, but there are some good spots just a few steps away. We decided to cut our trip short because of tornado and thunderstorm watches, but those things happen. We will definitely be camping again at Hurricane Creek in the near future.

We had a two day of events planned for when we were camping to go to out of the camp grounds so we booked far in advance a camp site for October 14th and 15th and leaving the 16th.
When we arrived to check in the Park Attend said they were closing the next day and they would issue a refund for the second day! THE Park Was Scheduled to Close at the End Of OCTOBER!! NOT AT 10Am of the 15th. The Gates Would Be Locked!!
The Attend didn’t know how to use the Computer enough to change the open reservation to cancel the second day and show that we weren’t using are Senior Pass discount for the Second Day of are reservation!!
Camp sites are Very hard to find at one day notice! And we Could Not use are Senior Pass Discount because it was still saying we were camping at Hurricane Creek and we were being Kicked out with No Reservations 3 hours from Home!!
We we contacted the Main Camp American Reservation and they couldn’t do Anything until the Park Attend closes it out! That Need to be Changed! And We should have been Notified in Advance of the Closing!

The pads (site 48) was crumbling and made positioning and leveling the camper difficult. Otherwise we had a great trip and commend the overall campground

The site was very beautiful. My only issue was trying to get firewood. Since you have to get it locally and I could never get the caretaker to come to the booth to buy some, I went all week without a fire. Otherwise, it was very pleasant.
