The lot was great and we had some great neighbors too. Bathroom was clean. The only issue I had was there was no place to enter to go swimming. When camping with kids plus having hot weather you need some kind of water entrance for people that don’t have boats.

Campground roads are too narrow, makes parking difficult. Only one Bathroom and its far away from everything. There are no garbage cans around the campground thus a lot of trash thrown onto ground. No rules for children, kids ran wild. If pets need to be on a least then they should have a dog park.

We enjoyed our stay at Cave Creek. The attendants were very kind and hospitable. The site was spacious. Everything was clean. The boat ramp and courtesy dock were nice. The only complaint I have is that the shower house is not ventilated. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year so far, and we’re just as sweaty after our shower as we were before. However, it was clean and well maintained. Just needs more airflow. That is the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. We will definitely return.

We enjoyed our visit to Cave Creek Campground at Rough Lake despite the fact that the reservoir level was down about six feet below summer pool level and it prevented us from doing the blue water geocaching trail by kayak. We also had a campsite with a little too much slope to level our RV coach without stacking numerous blocks under our automatic leveling system. But that being said, we would go back again if we picked a different campsite that was more level. The staff was very accomodating and friendly.
