Love camping at the canal campground! The host are always so nice. Roads in the primitive area need a lot of attention. It is such a nice campground, we hate to see it getting in such terrible shape!

We camp at Canal several times a season. Close to many activities in Land Between the Lakes. Close to restaurants, grocery. Grand Rivers and Benton are nearby. Easy access to the lake. Lots of golf cart and bicycle activity once school gets out. Hosts are marvelous.

We have camped here many times. Always enjoy our visit. The only minus would be that the mowing crew needs to turn the mowers away from throwing rocks etc near our campers and vehicles.

My wife and I camped at the Barkley Dam COE campground on site 72. The site was easy to access and had full hook ups. It was shady and level. The bath and shower facilities were clean. There are many activities available within the National Recreation Area. We enjoyed viewing the Elk and Bison herd. It was a self guided drive through a preserve. We went to a Wildlife Center where the animals there have undergone rehabilitation but unfortunately can not be returned to the wild. The area is a boating and fishing hot spot. Dams on the Cumberland and Tennessee Rivers have created the Land Between the Lakes allowing commercial barge traffic access to major rivers, and power production to the area. A drive to the Kentucky Lake Dam visitor center will impress you. We enjoyed our stay and think you will too.

Wasn't sure to give a 3 or 4. Depending on which loop you were in what the sites were like. Some of the roads are in need of a little help. If there is a lot of rain, there are a lot of places that have a lot of runoff, hence, cracking.

This is an absolutely beautiful campground. Employees are just awesome very friendly and helpful. AT&T worked pretty good there. If you have a golf cart make sure you have a bike flag and a triangle reflector and you’ll have to get a license to drive back-and-forth from Patty settlement it’s worth. Can’t wait till we get back there again. 🥰
