This was an EXCELLENT spot with a beautiful view of the water. Private and farther away from other campsites than a lot of options. Saw and heard TONS of wildlife!! The birds in the morning were just amazing!

We saw lots of wildlife, deer, red-headed woodpeckers, a pileated woodpecker, squirrels and a raccoon. We went hiking at Land Between the Lakes and enjoyed our stay at Canal Campground. We have been to a lot of campgrounds in many states but agree that Canal is our favorite.

The site itself was nice, although not particularly private. The 4 men at the site next to us stayed up drinking and carrying on until about 2am, preventing us from getting any sleep. The normally overactive camp host was nowhere to be found during this time.

My family and I love this campsite. It is easy to back into and we are close to the bathhouse. It is relatively flat and we only needed to raise the right side of the camper about a half inch to be level. We had plenty of room for our grandchildren to play around the campsite. We try to get this campsite every year.
