I love the campground BUT the newly enforced check-in stinks. Since it sits so close to the time zone change it makes it really difficult to arrive at a decent hour. A better solution would be to make checkout at 11am central time and check in at 2 central. Same allowances for cleaning and maintenance and would even fit the gate keeping hours better. Thanks for your attention

Loved the camp site and park attendants were great! But we had to reserve a day early because of the mandatory check in time after 3pm. My husband works second shift and we have to set our camper up prior to him going to work. We normally set up early then he goes to work. Then he comes back to camper when he gets off. We have to pay an extra night just so we can set up early. The check in time needs to be flexible for working people.

The circle campsites are too close. The site our friends had had a site next to its fire pit 4’ from their camper. 3 Pm central time is too late to start check in.

Kendall campground is one of OUR favorite places to camp. It is probably one of the best in Kentucky! Our only issue is the new policy of the corp of engineers strictly ENFORCING the 3:00 check in time. This places a strain on the check in station, and a great INCONVENIENCE on the campers sitting in line waiting to check in AFTER the 3:00 check in time! I really don’t have an answer for the person in charge who THINKS he has all the answers, but I REALLY don’t think that he’s thought this through thoroughly enough. I’m not saying that he’s wrong, but surely there’s some alternative to this policy. Maybe he should just ask for ideas from his personnel and the campers, and if he DID try this then maybe he should go back to the drawing board for more ideas.

Had a great time, weather was pleasant, got to help with special needs children with the fishing. It was a humbling experience!
