There was no park officials monitoring the picnic area nor addressing the illegal parking. Handicapped parking spaces were used by vehicles that did NOT have handicap parking permits. The roadway was blocked by illegal/improper parking. 6 parking spaces were supposed to have been reserved for reservation of the large shelter but we had to park above the bathrooms. No toilet paper in bathrooms. Trash overflowing. There was trash littered all around the shelter. We have reserved a shelter at the Laurel Dam Picnic Area for many years during the 4th of July holiday and this was the worst we have ever seen the picnic area.

Our church had a wonderful day at the shelter and playground area. We will definitely be renting this shelter again!

Beautiful pavilion area, surrounded by lakeside access. Has 8 picnic tables, a volley ball net, a grill and electricity.
