Hadn’t been to Holly Bay in 2 years but it was still beautiful. Stayed in H17 and loved the site. Staff was very friendly and checked on us each evening. The site was very woodsy and quiet.

Holly Bay is always a great tenting event. Nice surroundings, showers and toilets. It's close to the sheltowee trail for hiking, too.

When we got there we were welcomed warmly at the gate, then went to our site to get setup. Well, we did, and it promptly started raining, then continued for 36 hours at varying intensities. All of the wood we bought got soaked, and so did most of our stuff. Once it stopped raining we had a great time. We got some dry firewood from the host, and some ice. The site was very private. We didn't get a lakefront site, but we were very close to a bathhouse, which was very convenient. Every time we come here we're very happy with the campground, and this was no exception.

could no wake zones be made in the lake in front of the campsites, switch to battery powered blowers, the noise from the gas ones permeate throughout the entire campground, rescind the 2 day res requirement on weekends, currently the dump station wait line takes up the whole morning

We have been coming to Holly Bay every year for 12 years.It has never once disappointed us.The campground is always clean and the spots are laid out perfectly.Best place to camp for me always.

This is a beautiful area in a huge National Forest. The only thing negative was the yellow jackets constantly buzzing around seeking food and water due to unusually dry conditions. We were forced to eat indoors.

Very nice campground! We came for a weekend of kayaking on Laurel Lake. The electric/water campsites are large with picnic tables, a nice big fire ring, and posts to hang your lantern. The bathrooms and bath houses are clean and well maintained. There is someone who comes by in the evenings with firewood for sale if you need it. If you are bringing a boat, there is a nice boat ramp with good parking. The lake is beautiful and good for fishing. Definitely recommend this campground and the lake.

Getting There
From London, Kentucky, take Exit 38 off I-75. Turn west on KY 192, then go 14.2 mi and turn south (left) on KY 1193. Follow signs to Holly Bay Campground entrance (3 mi).
Policies & Rules
General
- Each single campsite is limited to 6 people and 2 vehicles.Double sites are limited to 12 people and 4 vehicles.Cars, trucks, trailers, boats, motorcycles ,etc. ARE considered vehicles. One boat or trailer per site only.All vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas only. Parking on roadsides, grass, or non-designated areas is not permitted.If space allows, additional vehicles may be permitted for a $10 fee per vehicle. However, extra vehicles may be refused if parking is not available.All additional vehicles must exit the campground by , unless parked in an approved designated parking area.Guests are responsible for ensuring their party complies with all occupancy and vehicle limits.
- Pet Policy – Dogs must be kept on a visible leash at all times. Electronic fence collars are not allowed.
- Reserve Your Site Carefully – Make sure the site you choose can accommodate your equipment. The site you reserve is yours; moving to another site is not allowed.
- Boat & Trailer Policy – Only one boat and trailer per campsite is allowed due to limited space at the boat ramp and within the campsites. Boat Trailers Count as a vehicle.
- Electric Surcharge – Electric hookups include a surcharge in the campsite price.
- Occupancy Limits – Maximum of 6 campers per single site.

- Bear Safety – Bears frequent in the area. Keep all food in approved containers at all times to protect yourself and wildlife.
- Firewood Guidelines – Don’t move firewood! Help protect our forests by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. To learn more, visit Don't Move Firewood
