Great campground on a beautiful lake. Camp hosts were very friendly, sites were super spacious with privacy, campground was clean, boat ramp easy to use and really convenient. Definitely top 2 campgrounds we've ever stayed in in Kentucky - We will be back!

The campground was very peaceful and relaxing. Our spot could have used a little gravel work but as long as you donβt have mobility issues itβs ok. I will say the bathhouse in G loop could use a little tlc.

A beautiful campground, clean facilities, friendly campers, sites were not too close together, plenty of shade and lake access.

This was our first time at Holly Bay. We had site H16, which only had 2 other campsites within view. The steps down to the lower campsite are a little steep, but that was the only issue I had with this spot. I would stay here again. We drove around the entire campground and I definitely prefer the G & H loops as they seem more secluded and more spacious than the other loops. But almost every campsite looked great. G loop has a bathhouse with showers, while H loop doesn't have showers, only toilets. We didn't have a lake view from our spot, but others in our loop had nice lake views (H5, H6, H7, H11). Holly Bay is a well-kept campground and almost every site was level. After staying here, we understood why it is so popular.

We stayed in H7 and had a fantastic time. The site was split between two levels with the tent pad up-top and the fire ring and table below. Weβre tent campers, so I do wish that we had brought two extension cords for the tent and our eating/cooking area (next time!). The walk down to the lake from our site was steep, but doable for us. Weβre a young and active family, but it probably wouldnβt be doable for everyone. The lake was wonderful! So quiet and clean. We brought an inflatable paddle board and kayak. The bathrooms were clean, and we visited the showers in another loop. This was our first time at Holly Bay, but we plan to come back!

We have been coming here for five years now and have never had a bad experience. I would like to say the old management company was horrible as far as customer service and up keep of the campground. This new company Vista and the staff this year has absolutely been fantastic! The campground is the cleanest I have seen in five years. The campsites are kept up and clean. They have trimmed all the debris/poison ivy away from the sites as much as allowed/possible, the fire pits are always clean when we arrive and NO signs of nasty cigarette butts anywhere! Sorry to those who smoke. You constantly see the staff, they always wave or stop and talk if they have a minute and are always checking the campground and maintaining it This has year has probably been the best! A shout out to Christina at the front gate who ALWAYS has a smile on her face and never hesitates to help or answer any questions. Her husband, sorry I forgot is name is equally great and drives around to the campsites handing out sidewalk chalk to the kids. Please donβt get me wrong ALL the staff is FANTASTIC in EVERY WAY!! You ALL are a GREAT TEAM that makes Holly Bay by far our favorite place! See you next year!
