Mammoth Cave Campground

Very clean bathroom facilities. Excellent well spaced campsites that lended decent privacy. It was nice to be at a National Park Campground that actually had running water and flush toilets and not just pit toilets.

I spent four nights in Mammoth campground… I did have to switch sites a couple of times, but that is not a problem with my small class B van I went to three Ranger talks in the amphitheater, and one of them was wonderful… Well worth the time. While in the area, I’m not only visited Mammoth Cave, but three other caves nearby. I ate three meals in the café at Mammoth and they were all wonderful.
The RV dump station next to the post office was one of the most convenient ones I have ever used… Perfect!Thanks for a great restful few days.

Phenomenal rangers! Tours were great, nightly talks were so informative and we learned so much from the visitor center and trails. We were just in awe with how much we learned there!

Beautiful place, definitely would book again. I forgot that the site I picked out didn't have electric but they had a washout station for my RV and clean water for me to fill my tanks. We did the historic tour and it was a really neat tour! I thought there was a lot of people per group but for how busy the place is, it makes sense why the group needed to be so big.

Location was great, just 10 or 15 min walk to visitor center. Don't miss the cave tours. We spent four days at the campground and did three tours in different sections of the cave, which was enough to not be bored during our stay.

I arrived on 5/21 for two nights right before Memorial weekend. I was happy to reserve the spot on the reservation system as most spots were booked. It did rain, and most campers left. I enjoyed the cooling effect it had on my experience. The park was undergoing some improvements and after talking with an employee it may be about two years before completion. I was happy to see them enhancing the area for future visitors. I hope they include an upgrade to the showers and they were not working at the time. The tours provided by the NPS rangers were outstanding. I really enjoyed the Extended Historic tour. We did have one visitor with asthma that concerned everyone, not sure if she was going to collapse during the 2 mile hike. I also attended the Star Chamber tour which I thought was ultra cool by lantern light. I would highly recommend this tour especially as they continue to improve the experience for future visitors.

Pretty standard campground. Clean bathrooms, quite at night. Would stay again!

Bathroom was clean, our spot was level and the campsites aren't too close together. We enjoyed it there, and could ride our bikes to the visitor's center from the campground.

It was quiet, well kept. The sites were spaced well,The weather was quite wet, so never really sat out. We very much enjoyed our stay and learning about the caves and the area.
