Our campsite was maintained well. All the facilities were well maintained. The cave tour we took was led by a very friendly and extremely patient guide, who answered all questions of our very curious grandson.

The photos for this site don’t do it justice. This site was spacious and nice and flat. The parking pad is level and was plenty long for our rig length (50’ total hooksd up). Plenty of distance between sites. Clean and well kept. Good potable water fill and dump station (close to each other but separated enough so someone shouldn’t confuse them) by the campground entrance.

Campsites are conveniently located near visitor center. Well stocked camp store with coin operated showers nearby. Visitors should be aware that all campsites are reserved/reservable. There are no first come/first served sites or honor system fee payment. Those arriving after hours will be prompted to call or go online to secure a campsite, which requires credit/debit card. During visitor center hours, reservations can be made there with cash, although credit/debit is preferred.

We had a great time at all 3 tours we took of the caves (Extended Historic, Domes and Dripstones, and Grand Avenue). We loved our guide Tyler.

We camped at the Mammoth Cave Campground, and had a nice experience. We took the Frozen Niagara cave tour, and our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend Mammoth Cave!

Nice campground, but a bit difficult to find a flat location for our tent. Water and restrooms were convenient, but pay showers that only work with quarters meant that two of us got 4-minute showers, and I did without. I’d rather pay a few dollars more for the campsite and have free showers.
