We did the Lantern Tour. The guide was an exceptional story teller and was able to bring history to life.
Camped in the Park. Campsite was level and quiet. Bathroom was clean!

The sites are tucked away in a tall forest, generous in size, mostly level, and reasonably priced. There’s a mailbox, potable water to fill your tank, a coin shower and a laundry behind the store. The Ranger who checks you into the campground is super helpful. Highly recommend. I extended my stay by a day to enjoy the location.

We really loved the campground. This particular site had easy access to the hike and bike trail which was great for our kids and riding bikes. The main road to the visitor center does run next to the hike and bike trail and during the day cars can be a bit loud, but at night the campground is so peaceful and quiet!
