What Guests Are Saying
Zilpo Campground offers beautiful, secluded sites with excellent access to the lake, making it a great destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The campground is well-maintained, with clean restrooms and friendly staff, although some services like water access and store items may be limited. While noise from other campers can be an issue, many visitors appreciate the serene environment and recommend Zilpo for its scenic beauty and enjoyable activities.

This campground is worn. Most everything needs updated. No showers in D area. The restroom door to the ADA stall in D doesn't close. Cabin D-10: 3 out of 5 blinds broken, wall gets dangerous hot when heater is on, bunks too cramped, 4 bunks but only 2 chairs. Inadequate staff so store not open during week. Overgrowth of pond weed around boat ramp, so propellers easily fouled.

Wonderful place. The beach is gravel which doesn’t promote laying in the sun, on a towel. I recommend taking a thick mat or a beach chair. Very little cell service as well. I could make a phone call but wasn’t able to use anything that required data.

The park seemed well maintained and the camp sites were well designed. The showers were the only part of the experience that was not satisfactory. One didn't work at all and there didn't seem to be any way to regulate the temperature. Pushing the button in gave a short blast of water and requited constant pushing in the button to keep the shower on. Basic restroom functioned well and were clean. Over all I would camp there again

Almost had the place to ourselves. Enjoyed one night in a cabin as we were traveling to Mammoth Cave. Only downside was that most things were closed given the time of year / low number of visitor (beach and camp store were closed). Check in was very smooth. She was very friendly. Look forward to going back someday and staying a little longer.

Nice spacious sites. Beach and store were closed during our visit. Sites do not appear to be overly well maintained. Our fire pit was full of ash, rocks, glass, and cans.

Good access to the lake. Not enough electric sites.

They need full hookups. They have great campsites, however, they only have 22 electric sites. They need more bath houses since they don’t have full hookup sites.
