What Guests Are Saying
Zilpo Campground is praised for its beautiful location, cleanliness, and friendly camp hosts, making it a favorite for many long-time visitors. While some amenities, such as hot water availability and maintenance support, have declined, most campers still enjoy the private, serene sites and the access to outdoor activities like hiking and fishing. However, issues like noise from other campers and limited store supplies have been noted, highlighting areas for improvement.

The campground host was very very rude and we come here every year with at least 10 plus spots... this has been a tradition for over 25 years now...
the camp host went as far as to turn the electric off on us during dinner...

A very peaceful, restful, and scenic campground. A little remote, but that is what makes it special to us.

Zilpo could use some TLC. Updated bathrooms, more electric sites etc but we love Zilpo. It's beautiful and the hosts are very accommodating.

Great lake for fishing if you have a boat. Campground is beautiful with very private spots. We camped with some friends and had a beautiful weekend and time at the campground. Staff is friendly and the onsite bathrooms kept quite clean.

We stayed in the “H loop” and the views of the lake were spectacular everyday we stayed!! Our campsite was nice hard pack gravel and very clean!! The bathrooms are falling into slightly rough shape however highly effective and get the job done!! Staff was all very friendly and easy to work with! The little store within the park does not carry much but enough to get you by! The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star review was due to the fact that your pets must remain on a leash even while at camp site!! I missed this rule and a staff member kindly informed us of our wrong doing and our pup stayed tethered for the remainder of the trip! Although our pup is very well behaved I know not all dogs are the same and the rules apply to everyone! Other than that, the trip that was 7hrs from home was a much needed camping getaway and would definitely consider coming back!!

This is the best campground we have been to. The sites are large and private. They are spaced out nicely. The lake is large enough and hardly ever crowded. Fishing is good. Wildlife is beautiful. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
