At the bottom of the hill be careful you don't go past the campground entrance and end up in the boat launch area.

Not allowed to drive my mobility scooter so wasn’t able to do a lot of walking.

From Somerset, Kentucky, take Highway 80 west for 5 miles. Turn right on East Highway 1248 and continue for 2 miles. The recreation area entrance will be on the left side of the road at the bottom of the hill.

5.6 mi drive to downtown Somerset (about 12 min)

- Golf carts, scooters and moped vehicles are not authorized on project roadways unless handicap credentials can be established.
- America the Beautiful discount cards do not apply to group sites or shelters. Discount cards good for standard sites only.
