The experience is always wonderful except for the wild life raccoon who turn into a trash panda after midnight.

We specifically booked site 11 for the sun and lake view and also for our starlink. When we got there, someone's RV was parked in our spot. We knocked on the campground host's door and called the number listed online and no one answered either. I walked down to the volunteer campground host and she was available to help. She walked with me to site 11 and no one answered. She called the host phone number multiple times and no one answered. The volunteer told me to look online for a site not yet booked and take it. I spent the rest of the evening in 19, which was pretty but covered in trees so the starlink would not work. And I spent the evening worrying someone would book 19 online and show up and we would look like the jerks. It was a beautiful spot, but I was stressed and annoyed the entire visit so we got in around 6pm and left by 7am the next day. I received a phone call from the host the next day. I thought it was to apologize, but it was to tell me I hadn't checked out yet. So whoever was in my booked site was still there I guess. Other than getting in later in the day and then having to waste an hour (after spending the time choosing and booking a site in advance) trying to find somewhere to park for the night it was a nice campground.

This campground is a beautiful place to stay. Usually quiet during the week, but on weekends it gets a little noisy. It sets across the lake from Pulaski County Park, which gets a little rowdy. Campsites along the lake have beautiful views. They are all very close, but it seems you are more private when you get in your site. The fishing in this area is unbeatable. I have stayed on site 6 an 11 with my 38 ft. motorhome with a truck parked sideways in front of me. Boats and trailers might require you to leave them in some of the community parking. We left our trailer with a lock on it at the ramp and left the boat in the water below us. Make sure you check the length of your site. There was a little mix up with someone in our site that had mixed up her dates of her reservation. The staff were super nice and helped her find a new camp site nearby at Waitsboro. She moved and I was only held up a little while. The staff was super helpful with everything and they keep the campground clean. Not a lot of traffic running through the campground, which was nice. We will definitely be back. Both of my sites where I stayed were very level and most looked very level. I didn't use the bath house, so no comment on them.

The site was wonderful with views of the lake, quiet, and very relaxing. Loved the lay out with fire ring so close and easy to access.
