We love this campground due to its location. Just a few minutes from Somerset. It’s not as critical if you forget something from home because Walmart is just a short drive away. The playground is nice for the kids and the sites are fairly level.

The campground is very nice with a beautiful setting and picturesque view of the lake. Getting in and out of the sites can be difficult, however depending on how many cars are parked in the sites around you. The attendant seems to waive rules for some and not others regarding limits and gets defensive when you try to clarify policy. This made for some tension during our stay.

Good campground
The 30 amp did not work on site 13. Had to use an adapter and use the 40 amp. Informed the host was not very receptive
Stayed at site 14 last fall and the 120 plug in did not work. Informed the staff. Family was at this site. The 120 plug still did not work

This is our favorite place to camp. The Host is so sweet and he helps us with whatever we need. We will be camping here for years to come.

Men’s bathroom was not clean the entire weekend we were there and our 110 plug did not work. Other than that we LOVED it! Being able to wake up and look out at the lake was so relaxing! Great for our kids, playground, bike riding and fishing! Will DEFINITELY come back!

We love site #11, but all sites are beautiful! Campground was clean, facilities were great and staff was helpful. This was our second trip here, we plan to come here once a year, highly recommended!

From Somerset, Kentucky, take Highway 80 west for 5 miles. Turn right on East Highway 1248 and continue for 2 miles. The recreation area entrance will be on the left side of the road at the bottom of the hill.
