This is our 2 nd visit to Fishing Creek Campground. I was concerned the water of Lake Cumberland was low, on purpose. We were told. Otherwise not disappointed.

We love fishing creek! The host are amazing!! Very sweet people!! I wish the trails down to the lake were a little more cleaned up where you could use them. But that’s the only thing negative I could ever say! Great place!!

Love Fishing Creek Campground, its small but clean and quite. We had site 11 and love looking out over the lake. The only issue is the dump station is a little downhill so you don's fully dump you tanks.

Lovely campground but hard to find. We drove down to the boat launch and saw no signs for a campground. Drove to the other side of the kake as we could see a campground, but not it. Finally just drove around and found it. Signs at the entrance and by the boat launch are needed. Otherwise loved the campground!

What a lovely campground! We were at site 29 and the shade and lake access made this a lovely camping trip, despite the hot weather. Some of the sites seemed a little close to each other (but also nice lake views), but our spot felt very private and wooded. The campground was quiet and the hosts friendly. Looking forward to a return trip.

Getting There
From Somerset, Kentucky, take Highway 80 west for 5 mi. Turn right on East Highway 1248 and continue for 2 mi. The recreation area entrance will be on the left side of the road at the bottom of the hill.

- Golf carts, scooters and moped vehicles are not authorized on project roadways unless handicap credentials can be established.
- America the Beautiful discount cards do not apply to group sites or shelters. Discount cards good for standard sites only.
