We just camped here April 6-8. Although it was breezy and got down to 30F Tuesday night, we had a blast. It's super relaxed here. The scenery is beautiful and the wild horses were awesome to see just strolling around. We did some fishing and took the dogs on plenty of walks. I think we came almost at the perfect time of year - pre horsefly season. We will definitely come back sometime!

We had an absolutely incredible camping trip at Assateague National Seashore from April 2nd to the 4th! This park is a true gem on the coast.
The absolute highlight of the trip was, of course, the wild ponies. Seeing them roaming freely in their natural habitat is an experience we won’t forget anytime soon. They perfectly complement the amazing shoreline, which offers miles of stunning, pristine beach and beautiful views of the ocean.
I also want to give a huge shoutout to the park rangers. They were incredibly professional, welcoming, and knowledgeable. You can tell they are passionate about protecting the park and ensuring visitors have a safe, educational, and memorable time.
If you're looking for a unique and beautiful camping destination with spectacular wildlife and a great staff, Assateague is highly recommended. We can't wait to come back!

One of the best campgrounds we've been to. The campsites were great. We did 1 day on bay and 1 day on beach. It was beautiful and the wild horses were just wandering around.

We absolutely loved our stay of 3 nights in Assateague National seahorse campground. We had 2 nights on the bayside and 1 night on the ocean side. We had ponies coming through our camp site through out our stay. It was just awesome!! The facilities were fine, we really didn’t use them much. Campsites were quiet and easy to access. Will definitely be back !
