What Guests Are Saying
Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

Stayed here while visiting family in DC area for the week. Older campground with narrow roads. Tough to get our 24' travel trailer into a site. Had to relocate as our reserved spot didn't work out for us. Camp was almost at capacity. Camp host was exceptional and assisted us in finding an alternate camp site for the week. All 3 sites we tried took quite a bit of leveling. Dump station is in a tight loop. Very wooded and serene location.

The campgrounds is really close to the College Park--U of MD metro station, which is nice for out of towners who want to do things in DC. And if you forget some items, there is a Target right around the corner. Meanwhile, it is still secluded and in nature--or at least, as much as you can expect in a metro area.
