What Guests Are Saying
Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

Everything was wonderful. The sight upkeep, bathrooms were clean, well lit, and fresh. And frequent patrols of the rangers made the entire visit perfect. I will definitely visit again.

Quiet! Most campgrounds with the number of spaces are always loud, later into the evening with drinking around the campfire, dogs barking and kids screaming. Though that is typical, it is really not a part of camping in the outdoors and still ruins the outdoor experience for many. Not in this case and it could have been I was in the early season. Everyone there was polite, shower water was hot, location on the water with hiking trails fantastic. The garbage cans were filled to the brim and there seemed to be a worn out camper in my area that looked like it might have been there for awhile. I only stayed one night, but enjoyed the quiet and beauty tremendously as that what is i expect from camping in the outdoors.
