Greenbelt Campground serves as an excellent base for exploring Washington, DC, offering a safe and peaceful environment. While bathroom facilities could use some updates and maintenance, the campground overall is well-maintained, with friendly staff and a beautiful natural setting. Michelle and Karen were so helpful in making my stay a great experience. Greenbelt Campground is the perfect place for an RVer to base themselves for sightseeing in Washington DC. The subway station at University of Maryland is a little less then a two mile walk for those who don't mind the walk. And the Greenbelt subway station has an oversize vehicle parking lot if you drive your RV there. Both stations have plenty of car parking. The park is a beautiful wooded area in the middle of a city that has all your shopping needs. The camping fees are very reasonable.
