Greenbelt Campground offers a great location close to Washington D.C., providing a peaceful, forested setting with well-maintained sites and convenient access to amenities. Many visitors appreciate the clean campsites, hot water in showers, and helpful staff, making it a good choice for camping near the city. However, some guests noted that the bathroom facilities could use improvements in cleanliness and maintenance. Overall, it’s recommended for its affordability and accessibility to both urban and natural attractions.

Greenbelt is a hidden beauty in the midst of an urban setting. It's amazingly quiet for its location. You are surrounded by nature yet close to public transportation to easily visit downtown DC area and the national monuments.

The campground is gorgeous, the perfect size for our group, well maintained. It felt like we were in the middle of nature, despite being so close to the busy College Park area. There was a great hiking trail near where we camped, allowing our scouts to explore. And when we visited the ranger station, they were helpful and really wonderful with our cub scouts.
