The ranger was very helpful he took the time to go over our plan and give us helpful advice. Kids did the junior ranger program and he did awesome job.

Greenbelt Campground serves as an excellent base for exploring Washington, DC, offering a safe and peaceful environment. While bathroom facilities could use some updates and maintenance, the campground overall is well-maintained, with friendly staff and a beautiful natural setting. Many visitors appreciated the quiet atmosphere, convenient location near the Metro, and affordable rates, making it a recommendable spot for camping in the city.

Site 96 is very close to the bathroom, centrally located and has few trees nearby. Sites outside of the loop are more private. The bathroom cleanliness is satisfactory. The nearby nature is nice for being so close to the city. Sharon is a shining example of a kind and caring host. NPS needs more people who cultivate community like her.

It was easy to register online (with short notice). Facilities were great and the campground host was very helpful even though I arrived on Monday evening. I hope to use the campground again for DC-area visit in the future. Thank you!

We were a little apprehensive staying here after reading others reviews but we found the campsite to be safe and reasonably clean. There were some bugs in the showers but that’s to be expected. The campsite was very quiet and peaceful. The only issue I had was there were no locks (and in some cases no door) on the women’s toilets.
