Suitable for small camping setups only, many sites will likely not fit the maximum size allowed (I fit). Some were not flat. Sites were shady and quiet. Campground is pleasingly dark. My stay was short, but very pleasant.

Some sites are more private and are along as creek. Some sites are very close to other people and have no privacy. People talked late into the night- it was a pretty loud campground. I wouldn’t camp there again in the summer because it was so loud. I might give it a try at the edge of the season if I could get a site along the creek.

Stayed here twice last year. It was a great spot. While a campground, one still has the feeling of seclusion. Very safe. There are some good trails in the area that were basic enough for young children and still provided decent exercise. We brought our dog on the second trip and besides the colder weather, he was fine. Close drive to some small towns and historical places as well such as Antietam battlefield.

Came family camping--had a good experience. The wood for sale was helpful to get our campfire started.. Highly recommend hiking on some of the trails in the park--good trails for all ages.. Camp sites are a little closer together than other places.. Would be nice if you could pay and register to camp on-site.
