Rohrbach Group Campground offers spacious, well-maintained sites with clean facilities, making it a favorite for many scout troops. While the distance from parking and the sloped terrain can pose challenges, campers appreciate the space between sites and nearby hiking opportunities. The lack of convenient potable water is noted, but overall, the site provides a pleasant camping experience.

The campground was in good shape and the boys enjoyed the time spent at Antietam.
Having a pile of firewood was also a plus!

The site was well maintained with an ample supply of firewood ready. My only suggestion would be to possibly dig out the fire ring a little, as it was close to the brim with leftovers. Other than that, Troop 279 had a great time and would definitely come again!

It was so easy to get set up and camp. There was a lot of open space, the bathrooms were cleaned, and the firewood was well stocked. The only issue we had was that we didn't know which site we were on when we set up camp. There are no markers for where each camp site is so we ended up on another group's site. It turned out okay in the end, but some clear markers to show which site is which would be helpful. The map was a bit confusing.

Great campsites with nice latrine facilities. The only complaints would be lugging all of the gear up and down the hill to the campsite from the parking area.

This is a great option for scout troops or other youth groups to camp right next to the battle field. Sites are large and flat for easy set up. We met some other really nice troops in the sites near us, so take the time to mingle and make new friends. Overall, a very good experience. There is not a water source right at the campsite, so be sure to bring a few containers of water. You can at a source that is fairly close.
