Our stay at Camp Misty Mount in Catoctin Mountain Park was fantastic! The cabins are so charming. They’re clean and very well taken care of. It was so nice to stay in cabin built nearly 90 years ago. The park is beautiful. Quiet and so peaceful. A great place to just relax. Look forward to making the trip up from our home in North Carolina soon!

The rangers here are extreme micro managers and hover around being nosy in your business. They don't let you bring your car to the cabin to load and unload without giving you a hard time about it. Otherwise, you need to carry all your stuff on hand to bring it to and from the cabin which can be a steep hike on a gravel road. There are sharp rocks and objects all over the grounds and can give your car a flat tire. The other campers nearby were partying with loud EDM music overnight and that didn't make it pleasant. Not happy with our time here and we are definitely not coming back.

I loved the cabin, bathrooms and pool. I came in late at night and found it difficult to find the building for check-in. I did find the key and after some time found my cabin. I recommend getting there before dark.

Depending on Camp Hosts of which there has only been trouble with one who was rude to the point of making a 4 year old little girl cry--- every stay has been the absolute best.
As a grandma I have decided not to let ONE Camp Host ruin years of family togetherness. We will be returning for mu annual birthday stay and look forward to building and maintaining friendships we have made with Rangers and fellow campers.

We had a great time at Misty Mount. The cabins are super rustic. We really enjoyed the newly renovated bathhouse, and the pool was a hit with the kids.

My kids and I love the sense of timelessness in these cabins built during the era of FDR's Conservation Corps, coupled with a great shower/swim bathhouse facility.
Looking forward to another stay next year.
