What Guests Are Saying
Fifteen Mile Creek Campsite offers beautiful views of the Potomac River and is well-maintained, providing a peaceful and affordable camping experience. Many guests enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, clean restrooms, and access to biking and paddling opportunities. Pretty nice view of the river (it's definitely a river not a creek). Campsites are small and close together. Water pump is very chemically treated, smells like a boys lockers room. There is a train that goes by just about every 2 hours honking it's horn multiple times , even in the night. It's a beautiful site for those who live to bike because there is access to the bike trail right by the camp. Expect to pack out trash, and I'm not sure how swimming would be because the river looked very murky.

Tried to cancel my reservation, and the system failed to work, even though the rules said I could and I tried in the specified time. Waisted my money.

Unable to find in the dark- poor lighting, poor signage. We tried twice and after ending up going up a dangerous hill in attempt to find it a 3rd time, and popping a hole our RV tire on the way down based on total darkness, we had to give up going there

There was a party is the campground that was drinking and BLASTING music. There was another party that arrived and left without setting up, I’m assuming due to the loud music. Since I was the only other party in the campground, I was not comfortable asking them to turn down the music or calling the park service, since I would have still been alone with the loud party after anyone sent to mediate the situation left. Additionally, the handle was off the pump for the campground. While the online info for the campground does state that water may be unavailable, it inconvenient for someone traveling by bike.

Nice campground with a nice boat ramp. Restroom is clean and well maintained. The views of the surroundings are absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant nearby is a plus.
