What Guests Are Saying
Fifteen Mile Creek Campsite offers beautiful views of the Potomac River and is well-maintained, providing a peaceful and affordable camping experience. Many guests enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, clean restrooms, and access to biking and paddling opportunities. However, some noted issues such as noise from nearby parties, trash left by previous campers, and limited water access at the pump, suggesting improvements in maintenance and oversight are needed.

We didn’t know until we arrived that it was bike week. We are frequent campers and came from NC to paddle the Potomac. The pit toilets were disgusting and full. The only way we could continue our stay was to walk over to the walk-in campsite portajohn. On Sunday, we were awaken by a lady throwing up outside her camper. Someone else had thrown their uneaten eggs, sausage and hotdogs on the edge of their campsite. I know there are budget shortages, but there needs to be more cleaning of the pit toilets and a trash bin during the busy summer months. There needs to be enough oversight to offer safe hygiene. We were disappointed.

Overly lively nightlife for an escape into the woods. Prepare for bugs too.

The pictures for this campsite are old and outdated. It's not a good representation of camp site or grounds at all. There is no parking for the group site close to the site. It's on the other side of the campground. The group site isn't marked or visible from the campgrounds. You have to pack in and pack out in the middle of people's camp site if there is a spot available for you to do so. Otherwise it's a 700ft or more walk from vehicle to site. The water is gorgeous! It's super clear and kid friendly(mostly shallow waters). Steep walk down to the water. There is a porta John that was surprisingly well maintained considering. Otherwise it's the bare minimum primitive camping.
