The best camping location in the area. Campsites are very well maintained. Trails to the beach are peaceful and easy to navigate, even at night. Highly recommend a night stroll to the beach to see the crystal clear views of the stars.

Very nice and quiet campground. Hasn't changed any in the last 45 years. Great beaches and camp sites still. Only thing I would change is the type of firewood available.

I've camped at DH Day for many years. I was surprised at how difficult it was this year to make reservations for the time frame and location we wanted, and how crowded it was even after Labor Day, but it's still one of the most beautiful places I know.

Very quiet campground.
Lots of people, lots of poison ivy.
Easy to check in.
Really odd vibe that I can't describe.
Bikes were very popular.
Staff was very helpful, present, and visible, and security was good.

Was a decent campground. More crowded than I’d like. When you’re going camping you hope for that nature feel and away from people a little bit, however there was people about 20 feet in all directions being very noisy unfortunately. I could even here one tent snoring through the night if that ties it together for you.

Beautiful rustic, wooded campsites. Very quiet. Beautiful beach as well with well marked path from the campground. We enjoyed walking on the beach, rock hunting, and star gazing. Be sure to note these are rustic sites with no electric or water hookups. Campground does not have bath houses, but does have clean pit toilets.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely camp here again.

Poison Ivy. Poison Ivy is abundant at the campground and throughout the lakeshore. Tent pads and campsite driveways are kept clear of poison ivy. However there may be poison ivy lining the boundary of the campsite.
