It was great being right off the beach. Excellent spot for calmer waters in the cove close.

The proximity to the Sleeping Bear Point trailhead alone is enough to make this a great stop for someone traveling from down south (Detroit). We arrived late, got up early and make it to the beach before anyone else was there! I would rate it at 10/10 with a couple caveats: 1 this is very much a family campground, so be prepared to keep quiet at night or take a walk to the beach because it is a family area 2, they are not joking about the poison ivy, if that that is a thing that bothers you! Will be coming back soon.

Site was secluded and beach on Lake Michigan was awesome. Location is near many other locations and Glen Arbor is near for any needs. Staff were attentive and accessible.

Lovely campground. Site 75 backs up to the amphitheater where the rangers host little nighttime talkbacks/trivia.
Would stay again.

I don't want to give this place the great review it deserves because It's already hard to find an opening here!!! But I have to be honest… It's amazing. Close to Glen Arbor, close to the dunes, right on Lake Michigan's unspoiled beaches, right on the best stretch of bike path - Glen Arbor to Empire. It's primitive, which hopefully keeps some people away, but oh man, is it clean and quiet and wonderful. Great hosts! We will be back, as long as we can get a spot after this amazing review I just wrote! Lol

The most beautiful setting in the MidWest… pristine azure waters, cool summer breezes, starlit nights and a campground staff that is friendly and very helpful.

Clean and nice campground, close to beach. Friendly staff and have all kinds of events and educational programs for all ages. Definitely will come back again!
Suggestion: Bring water footwear for the pebble beach. Stay on the trail to avoid poison ivy.

We come here and love it. The rangers and camp hosts are friendly. It is very conveniently located (with respect to our favorite parts of Sleeping Bear). Yes, you have to watch for poison ivy, but you learn :)

Clean campground, quiet although the sites are very close together.
Lots of poison ivy everywhere, did not get itchy. 5/5 would stay again.

Poison Ivy. Poison Ivy is abundant at the campground and throughout the lakeshore. Tent pads and campsite driveways are kept clear of poison ivy. However there may be poison ivy lining the boundary of the campsite.
