I've stayed in campsite #89 in the off season, when there's a total of maybe eight campers at DH Day. I was afraid that during the July 4th week, it would be too loud and busy, being that it is the first site in the first cut-de-sac. But it's quiet and relatively private. We like D. H. Day. Even when full it never feels cramped or busy.

We love the setting and sites at D.H.Day. However, the pit toilets are always disappointing. For such a nice campground, having facilities with running water, and an area to wash dishes would greatly improve the longevity of the campground itself and the experience. I do wonder where and how people are disposing of their soiled food supplies without designated washing areas.

Great location, plenty of activities in the area, and the campsites are secluded.

Very close to town, beach and sand dunes. Campsites are well maintained, leveled dirt but poison ivy is surrounding each site. No problem, unless you are highly allergic or catch it easily. Bathrooms are cleaned and well stocked. Staff is friendly. I would definitely stay again.

The exact camp site we need to relax and unplug from our busy world. Our entire family had a blast during our stay. Very close to the beach with crystal clear water (note, bring your bug spray because horse flies can get mean). But, didn't stop us to play in the water. So much activities around the campsite to explore. If you love peace, slow pace environment D.H camp is your camp. Heads up, no electricity in most sites but it wasn't a problem for us when we were looking for peace! We will definitely come back and next time it will be at least one week stay.

Our vacation was very nice. The paved bike trails led to interesting sites including the maritime museums and the dunes. It also led to the nearby tourist town which has a local farmers market on Tuesdays!
The site itself was very clean and had easy access to toilets. There were lots of children on bikes who seems to be having a really fun time. There was no noise from generators either. The adjoining beach was beautiful but the water was too cold to enjoy, although some brave sound made the plunge. The deer flies were a nuisance depending on the way the wind blew. Many people were beachcombing as it’s a very long stretch of smooth sand.
Very nice overall!

Poison Ivy. Poison Ivy is abundant at the campground and throughout the lakeshore. Tent pads and campsite driveways are kept clear of poison ivy. However there may be poison ivy lining the boundary of the campsite.
