Can’t comment on the place. Inadvertently made reservation for the wrong day, but was unable to correct my mistake.
I was told I would be contacted, but wasn’t except for this feedback request.
I guess my campground fee became a contribution to the parks system.

Nice stay right close to Sleeping Bear. Good facilities and sites. Would stay there again if in the area again.

Great campground, enjoyed my site a lot. Some sites seem to be significantly more private than others, but very wooded campground. The “firewood” for sale in the campground is very disappointing. I recommend purchasing firewood at one of the approved vendors located outside the campground.

5

Beautiful campground along the shore of Lake Michigan.
Excellent friendly staff.
Curious group of raccoons seek left out food at night.
Hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking all within close proximity.
Excellent bike path which crosses through the campground.
Ranger programs in, and around the park.

It was very private. However there was a lot of poison ivy around our camp site. The out houses were clean but they did have a bad smell.

Campground was nice as always. However, the beach was less than desirable; dead fish and biting flies so we were unable to enjoy the beach during our stay.

All staff were helpful and kind. More than kind. The sites were divine. Although the black flies were at the beach, we stayed at our site and loved it.

We stayed at campsite 81, it was roomy the fire pit was great! I don’t recommend the “wood” they sell in the machine! It smells real bad it says it’s safe to cook with but I wouldn’t trust it with the smell. We enjoyed the proximity of the campground to the dunes.
