Beautiful rustic campground, In the middle of sleeping bear bay, surrounded by the Manitou islands, Pyramid Point and sleeping bear dune. If you can be without electricity, flush toilets this is the place for you.
We got six days of little rain and the bay lets us paddle four days. The biking is unreal rolling bike paths for miles.
A little slice of heaven.

Outstanding park and campground: well maintained, super helpful rangers and hosts, a stocked wood vending truck, and clean bathrooms! The only off-beat factor was the wildlife on either side of our campsite who preferred to listen to music rather than the sounds of nature. We enjoyed Pyramid Point, Pierce Stocking Drive, Empire Bluffs, Glen Haven, and of course the stunning beach at D.H Day. If you plan to hike P Point or E Bluffs, please do not consider taking your children under age 7-8 years and even then, they should enjoy hiking and be in good shape. These climbs (moderate difficulty for adults) lead our fellow pint-sized hikers to tears and shaming comments by parents. If you want your children to learn to enjoy hiking, then make sure they enjoy hiking.....right?! Thanks to all of the waitstaff and grocers in Glen Arbor for working hard to feed us--your are appreciated.

The campsite has easy access to the beach on Lake Michigan which was great for both day and nighttime beach fun! All of the popular spots are within 10 minutes from the campsite making it a central location for visitors to explore all the area has to offer. The famous Sleeping Bear Dune Climb hike was long and tough but they views were worth it! Highly recommend wearing swim attire and throwing a small towel in your hiking bag so you can beach, swim, and enjoy the view of the lake before making your way back through the dunes.

The town of Glen Arbor is convenient for last-minute camping needs but is full of charm.

Great campground, stayed in site 57 @ DH Day campground. For sites with paths to actual site I wish they would manage the poison ivy better on path.
