Camp '89 Grand Haven

New owners making upgrades to camping sites. Former KOA plenty to do for the kids. Sites good spacing.

Just stayed at the resort in my motor home it is an amazing place and the people have absolutely been great. Lots of new stuff and up grading daily with being aware of all the guest during upgrades. If you are headed up 31 don’t miss this stop you will be amazed at the report.

We just stayed at Camp 89 for Memorial Day weekend on a premium pull-through site with our brand new camper — and as complete camping newbies, we truly could not have picked a better place for our first trip.

Even though the campground looked full for the holiday weekend, it was incredibly peaceful and family friendly. The quiet hours were respected, the low speed limits made us feel safe with kids around, and the entire atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.

The campground itself is beautiful. We especially loved seeing all of the back-in sites around the perimeter tucked into nature, and we’re already hoping to come back and book one of those once we feel a little more confident with backing in. 😊

We also had a very “first-time camper” moment during a heavy rainstorm and made a rookie mistake with our awning. The Camp 89 staff came to the rescue immediately and were unbelievably kind, calm, and helpful. They helped us identify the issue, get everything secured safely, and made us feel so much better instead of embarrassed. Then again during checkout, we needed help with our sway bars and staff happily jumped in without hesitation.

Every single interaction we had with the team was positive. Friendly, patient, helpful people truly make a place special, and Camp 89 absolutely has that.

The location is excellent, the campground is well run, and the customer service went above and beyond. We are so grateful we chose Camp 89 for our first camping experience.

This campground is very nice, clean and the staff are wonderful. We rented a cabin and was just perfect super clean. Will definitely be coming back

The staff at grand Haven resort were absolutely incredible. They went above and beyond to make our camping trip so comfortable and so successful. Accommodations were wonderful. We loved our campsite. We had a variety to choose from and we got the area we were hoping for. Amenities abound. From the pool to the mini golf to hiking on the trails on the premises there was never a lack for fun things to do or entertaining opportunities. Being new to the whole camping experience, my family really enjoyed the vacation and we made some wonderful memories together. We will 100% be returning to the campground and participating in more they have to offer. Also worth noting is their playground. And their activities person. They always had some thing fun going on you could participate in like tie-dye or games. And their playground has so much space and equipment. My kids never got bored.
