We decided to park the camper here because we had season passes to Michigan Adventure. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this campground. Very clean, everyone is friendly, very kid friendly, and close to the beach! We booked another week as soon as we left. Many shady spots and a nice breeze from the water. Septic pumping service that comes around in the afternoon for a small fee, just sign up in the camp store. No one patrolling the campground like they are the police. Would give this place 10 stars if I could!

There’s not enough ⭐️’s to give a proper rating for Camp 89’ !! This was the first camping trip my son a myself have taken (normally seasonal campers) and Camp 89’ has made this trip so memorable. First and foremost the staff are absolutely amazing, so kind, always available, and made us feel welcome and safe! Not one staff member wasn’t smiling or looking like they weren’t enjoying their day, that in itself has ALOT to say about a business.
We were on a tent lot and can I say SPACE! We loved how much room was on our sites, we hade a LARGE tent, a canopy, truck, and still PLENT of space for our bonfires and room to play football, we definitely did not feel like we were on-top of other campers. Other notable items we really enjoyed were how clean the restrooms were every day!!! Camp 89’ really stays on the cleanliness of each building, campsite, and attraction. My son had a blast on the go-karts, put putt, and ice cream! Oh and we had to snag on of the Camo Camp 89’ Sweatshirts ⭐️ Camp 89’s location was absolutely perfect as well, we were able to visit Saugatuk, Holland, Muskegon, & Grand Haven all within a half hour from camp, hands down an awesome location. Thank you Camp 89’ for making this a perfect location spot and we can’t wait to come back!!

Was very pleased with the campground. For being their first season opened they had a lot to offer. 2 pools were great. Lots of extra things to do ie: go karts and mini golf to name a few. Staff was very friendly and attentive to things including bathroom cleaning.

Our family stayed in a rustic cabin and had a great experience! The cabin was clean and spacious. The mattresses were quality, and we appreciated the amenities (fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc). It rained a lot during our stay, but the staff was helpful and friendly and worked hard to make it fun, with activities like a cornhole tournament, movies, crafts, tractor rides, and more. Our kids really enjoyed the pools. We would definitely go back!

Six stars if we could. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We just stayed at Camp 89 for Memorial Day weekend on a premium pull-through site with our brand new camper — and as complete camping newbies, we truly could not have picked a better place for our first trip.

Even though the campground looked full for the holiday weekend, it was incredibly peaceful and family friendly. The quiet hours were respected, the low speed limits made us feel safe with kids around, and the entire atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.

The campground itself is beautiful. We especially loved seeing all of the back-in sites around the perimeter tucked into nature, and we’re already hoping to come back and book one of those once we feel a little more confident with backing in. 😊

We also had a very “first-time camper” moment during a heavy rainstorm and made a rookie mistake with our awning. The Camp 89 staff came to the rescue immediately and were unbelievably kind, calm, and helpful. They helped us identify the issue, get everything secured safely, and made us feel so much better instead of embarrassed. Then again during checkout, we needed help with our sway bars and staff happily jumped in without hesitation.

Every single interaction we had with the team was positive. Friendly, patient, helpful people truly make a place special, and Camp 89 absolutely has that.

The location is excellent, the campground is well run, and the customer service went above and beyond. We are so grateful we chose Camp 89 for our first camping experience.

Thank you, Camp 89 — we’ll definitely be back!
