After spending two months at Hideaway RV Park, we were so comfortable that we extended our stay for another two weeks—and we’ve already made plans to spend the full season here next year.
This park really lives up to its name. At its center is a peaceful pond with a clean beach and dock area, paddle boats, and a playground. From our shaded site, it was a treat to watch kids splashing in the water while we relaxed under the trees.
Although there’s space for many more RVs, the owners have chosen to keep much of the property as open green space, with sloping lawns and well-kept gardens that give the park a quiet, spacious feel. We especially enjoyed the three walking paths through the surrounding woods. The trails are wide, mulched, and easy to walk, with plenty of shade. Along the way, we often saw deer, rabbits, chipmunks, and birds—which made our daily walks with our Boston Terrier a highlight of the stay. (We did run into deer flies for a couple of weeks, but they didn’t last long.)
What stood out most was the atmosphere. Many guests return year after year, and it’s easy to see why. Owners Linda and Tim are hands-on and attentive, and their efforts show in every detail—from the immaculate grounds to the beautiful gardens.
Hideaway RV Park is exactly what we were looking for: peaceful, well-maintained, and welcoming. We can’t wait to come back next season.
