What Guests Are Saying

Rollways Campground offers beautiful, well-maintained sites that provide a peaceful and private experience, with helpful hosts and clean facilities. Visitors appreciate the scenic location and nearby attractions, including trails and access to the Au Sable River. However, some guests noted noise issues during busier weekends and the lack of picnic tables and easy kayak access.

Camped here many times & it’s always been great. Sites are large with lots of room between for privacy. The vault toilets are clean & well maintained. The water is very good & a welcome change from “city water”! Highly recommend

Campsites were large, and almost all were pull-through for RVs, with enough grass space for tents if that is your preferred shelter. There were large buffers between most campsites, and nights were quiet, for the most part. Our site had trees close to the pavement (and dead limbs overhanging the pad). The gypsy moth caterpillars (and all their by-products) were rampant when we visited, and it is clear the county doesn't spray for them. Several nearby access points are available for the AuSable River, but none are located in the campground, and the view over the river valley would benefit from thinning the trees to enhance the view. Outhouses were very clean! Would stay here again if we plan on fishing and kayaking the AuSable River.

Not a bad little campground. Clean and sites are fairly spaced apart with lots of trees and underbrush inbetween. Bathrooms are clean. The gypsy moths/worms were so bad we couldn't be around the fire without being pooped on by the worms. Also its a long walk to to the lake and our neighbors were pretty loud.

Our first time taking our 2 year old camping with us and she had a blast. Upon arrival, it was tough but we had a few understanding neighbors with a very friendly dog. The nights were perfect, our spot, we were able to watch the moon and see starlink satellites! The howling of foxes at night was really nice, even giggled some. Definitely going back, maybe in the fall. We loved it.
