What Guests Are Saying
Round Lake Campground offers a serene and enjoyable experience with large, clean campsites, friendly staff, and beautiful lake access, making it a favorite for many visitors. Campers appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, clean facilities, and nearby amenities, such as shopping and dining options. However, some have noted noise disturbances from generators and rowdy guests, as well as a lack of showers, which could impact the experience for some.

The campsite was very nice and we stayed about a week and in the time it was pretty quiet which was nice. The lake was AMAZING to cool off in when it was super hot. Would come back

Very nice campground with terrific staff. Bathrooms were clean. The potable water hand pumps did not work. The gas generator noise was excessive with some campers using their generators all day from 6:30 in the morning into the late evening. Some generators had acceptable low decibel (dB) level and some were very loud.....I measured 90db on one of the generators in the FCFS campground

It’s very nice to have large campsites that are separated by trees and grassy areas. It’s quite peaceful most of the time. There are two lakes that can be used from the boat access on Round Lake. (Indian Lake is attached)
Whittemore Speedway is a paved short track that is very clean and inexpensive. They race stock cars on Saturday night.
Both Tawas and Hale are nearby within 5 miles. Tawas has major shopping including Rose City RV which has a well stocked parts dept. Hale has Big Bobs restaurant known for their great breakfast. Alwards in Hale has a good butcher shop and some specialty meats.
The Outpost store on the corner where you make the turn to enter the campground is under new ownership and Chris and Dave? are getting it well supplied with all of the camping essentials. They also have hand dipped ice cream!
Round Lake Campground I secluded but close to anything that you could need.
