Sites are small, not much room for tents. Better for small/medium trailers. Boat launch has no dock which is interesting. Otherwise nice place.

I spent 5 quiet days at Round Lake Campground. It was glorious! The weather was perfect! Campground wasn’t crowded. There are no showers, just pit toilets but they didn’t smell! I had a great time to sit and reflect and enjoy the quiet of the forest.. can’t wait to go back!

The campground is rustic. Walmart is close if you forget something. You can only walk to the beach, which is fine but something to think about. Site 6 is low and in the middle. You will hear everyone.

I have always appreciated my stays at Round Lake in the past, but my most recent visit was unacceptable. On Friday night, a group occupying five sites kept me awake until around 2:00 AM. The situation deteriorated even further the following night, as one individual from that group was shouting obscenities well past 4:00 AM. Even after the police were called, it took a long time for the noise to subside. I ultimately decided to check out early, despite the group having left. Two nights of disrupted sleep were simply too much to endure. I strongly urge that this group be banned from the park in the future.

Typical National Forest campground, large sites, great location. Never saw park management during our entire stay.

We were coming from the UP - going back to the metro Detroit area. We wanted to stop and rest somewhere before driving back home.
This place was one of the best camping grounds we’ve had. More privacy - all the spots had a distance between each other, cozy spots with bonfire pits, and the closer to the lake, the better. Our spot was the closest #7.
I will come back for sure!
